Seras Victoria – Hellsing Ultimate

Project Description

Top is made of twill, which was dyed to darken the fabric slightly.  Top is help close with flat hook and eyes.  I patterned it off a dress shirt I already owned and made the necessary modifications.  Skirt is made of the same fabric and has an invisible zipper up the back.  To create the patch on the front and sleeve I designed the image in photoshop, printed it on heat transfer paper, transferred it to an interfaced fabric, trimmed to the right size, then finally satin stitched onto the garment.  The socks were purchased and then dyed to match the fabric better.  Boots were also purchased and altered.  Wig is from EpicCosplay, trimmed and spiked.  To create the arm I made a double of my arm using the duct tape double method.  I then patterned out the design out of paper use the dummy arm.  Using the patterns created, I transferred them to flat black foam and glitter foam.  I cut eye shapes out on several pieces and backed them in red organza ribbon.  All the foam pieces were attached to a long black glove with hot glue.  Finally step I took a string of batter powered LEDS and strung them through the arm, making sure to place them behind the red organza cut outs.  I chose to make a smaller arm prop for Seras due to my limitations at conventions and travel.
