Sailor Moon – Sailor Moon

Project Description

I was rather excited to make a classic version of Sailor Moon now that I’ve made quite a few fukus now.  Like all my more current fukus I use heavy weight spandex for the body suit, satins for the collar, bows, glove toppers and skirts.  The sleeve and hip rolls are spandex pieces sandwiched with batting.  The skirt is two circle skirts and is a combination of both knife and box pleats, finished with just a simple serge and stitch hem.  The glove rolls are stuffed with cotton cording.  Choker is made of the same satin and gold moon is casted.  Tiara is casted by me and finished in gold rub and buff.  Other accessories (except wand) were sculpted and then casted by me.  Boots were purchased and the modified to have the white top and point.  For all my Sailor Moon costumes, I never use a wig.  I use my hair with extensions (which were purchased at Arda) to create her signature hair style.
