Reason: My friend introduced me to the series and I was a little apprehensive at first, but OMG love after the first book. I love a lot of the characters in the series, but I thought Ty Lee was the most fitting to me. Plus it I don't think I would have made a good Zuko. Oh and I can do cartwheels!

Construction notes: Ty Lee was made the day before I had to leave for AX 08. Luckily it was super easy to make and I had patterns for most of the pieces. The shirt and pants are made of a polyester stretch and makes me feel like I'm wearing PJs! The dark pink that was used for the collar piece and yoke of the petal skirt is cotton interfaced. The red parts are my fav since they are made out of faux suede and is super soft. It seemed very Fire Nation to me. What is nice about this costume is that everything either slips on (because it is stretchy) or stays on with Velcro which makes it really easy to get in and out of. Shoes were old ones I had laying around, and will make more accurate later. Wig is an Ivy wig from Cosworx in Brown.
