Wow it has been a whirlwind summer so far! I feel like I just finished Fanime and then SDCC happened.
In short, SDCC was a freaking BLAST! I had such a great time with friends and made some really awesome new ones. I also had the pleasure of working for the DC comics booth with a large group of very talent and beautiful cosplayers. We got wear are our AmeComi costumes for the DC Collectibles Panel and then they had as at the booth for some time. Here is a shot of some of our group being derpy!

On Friday I wore Huntress for the Kotobukiya booth. Got lots of fun photos thanks to Mike Rollerson. I also got some great shots with Zak as Nightwing! Here’s a at con shot.

Then in the evening on Friday we got to go to The Devil’s Carnival show! We got to meet both Darren Bousman and Terrance Zdunich at the show. This was highlight of the weekend. I’m such a fan of both Darren and Terrance’s work and being able to talk with both of these guys was amazing. Hopefully next time I’ll have more to say then, “HI I LIKE YOUR WORK! :D”. The show was fantastic and I can’t wait to go see it again in August! Of course we dressed as Painted Doll and Scorpion. :)

Here is Zak and I with Terrance and Darren. :D

Saturday was jam packed! In the morning I wore classic Harley Quinn for the Kotobukiya booth in the morning. While walking around as Harley, I ran into my friend Yaya Han while she was in Arkham City Catwoman and bonus bumped into Jessica Nigri and Monika Lee while they were in their DC Injustice costumes!
It’s always a blast to wear Harley. Then in the afternoon I wore Female Captain America with AntiAiChan as Thor. We had a blast running around as Cap and Thor. Of course more derpiness was had.

We also entered the Marvel costume contest so we could get some fun photos on stage with the Hall of Armor, but we can never be serious. XD

So that was pretty much SDCC! I hope try and go next year, but things are really uncertain for next year’s con schedule. We are going to try and make it out to an east coast con, so we will have to sacrifice another con. But, we’ll see!
Working on updating the site with the new costumes from SDCC, new photos that have surfaced of costumes from Fanime and hopefully some tutorials. Keep an eye out!
XOXO,
Mel
