Character: Zhen Ji Version: Game Series: Dynasty Warriors 6 When Completed: May 2010 Personal Thoughts: I've always been a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series and after hearing a bunch of my friends planning DW costumes I thought it would be the perfect time to do one too. When I saw Zhen Ji's designs in 6 I knew I really wanted to make that outfit, plus she was much more fun to play with her whip then the flute! Plus her outfit had all my favorite colors in it! Little did I know the undertaking this costume was going to be. I personally think that ...
Character: Nia Teppelin Version: Anti-Spiral Messenger Series: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann When Completed: July. 2010 Personal Thoughts: The boyfriend had dropped a few... not-so-subtle hints that he wanted me to do this costume. Also when I found out that Saku was wearing Starboobs that kind of sealed the deal. I find it funny that I got around to making a second Nia before making a second Yoko. lol Overall this costume isn't too bad to wear. The shoes are killer and being in a full body suit is a little awkward. In short I like this costume! Worn to: AX 2010 Construction notes:I was one of those crazy ...
Character: Eclair Version: 3rd Incarnation Series: Kiddy Grade / Kiddy Girl-and When Completed: March. 2010 Personal Thoughts: I'm a Kiddy Grade sap, and it has become almost a tradition to make one new Eclair outfit each year. This was neither planned or intentional to have this 'tradition.' Anyways, I had all the fabric for this laying around so I only had to buy the wig and some red dye. Yea cheap! I made this for going shooting in the snow, but I think another shoot is needed that isn't snow... I've been wanting to do this version for a while. In fact almost did ...
Character: Sheryl Nome Version: Concert Outfit Series: Macross Frontier When Completed: July. 2010 Personal Thoughts: One of my friends was cosplay Ranka and somehow they didn't have a Sheryl! Blaspheme! I've always wanted to do some Sheryl outfits too so it was the perfect chance. I chose this version since no one seems to do it and I honestly don't care for main outfits. I made this one since I had 90% of the stuff on hand. I choose to use Sheryl's normal color hair instead of the blue so I could re-use the wig later on. It was fun playing another character from Macross! I ...
Character: Lina Inverse Version: TV - Next Season Series: Slayers When Completed: January 2008 Reason: Slayers is one of my favorite animes EVER. I simply love it. If you haven't watched it yet go do it. Lina is a character I identify a LOT with, plus she is bad ass. I was so so happy to finally be able to do this. I was even more lucky to have my boyfriend, Sozokureed, be my Gourry! Worn ...
Character: Adiane the Elegant Version: Anime Series: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann When Completed: July 2008 Reason: Upon watching Gurren Lagann I knew I had to cosplay someone from it. It's such an awesome anime! Adiane is one of those characters that's bad ass and doesn't really take crap from anyone. Plus her outfit is kick ass! I was also asked to be apart of American Cosplay Paradise and Bandai's promotion of Gurren Lagann at AX, hence why I made this sooner then planed. Worn ...
Character: Wayward Victorian Girl Series: None (Original Design) When Completed: Oct. 2009 Reason: Well, well... Being my first original design I made sure to use fabrics I love and to just have fun with it. I have been toying with the idea of making an Emilie Autumn style/inspired design for yeeeeeaaaars. It just took her touring in the US finally to motivate me to actually do it. EA's style is very unique, but defined by corsets, lace, stockings and stripes all mushed together in a Victorian/crazy kind of way. If you haven't listen to her music I must insist you do. I also ...
Character: Sophitia Alexandra Version: First player costume Series: Soul Calibur III When Completed: Jan. 07 Reason: I enjoyed being Cassandra a lot and when SCIII came out I liked her sister, Sophitia, a lot more in the previous installments. I can say without a doubt this is my most comfy, easiest, and most enjoyable costume wear! Worn to: Sac-Anime 07 Wondercon ...
Character: Pirotess Version: Art Book Goddess Version Series: Record of Lodoss Wars When Completed: Feb. 2008 Reason: After doing the normal version back in July, me and my friend that did Deedlit really wanted to do this version too. They are just so pretty and elegant. W Worn to: Wondercon 08 Awards Won: Honorable Mention: Most Beautiful Construction notes: It was nice ...
Hikaru Shidou Character: Hikaru Shidou Version: Final version Series: Magic Knights Rayearth When Completed: May 2009 Reason: For Fanime, our group decided to Magic Knights Rayearth as our masquerade costumes. I've always wanted to cosplay Hikaru, I just never thought it would be this verison! Worn to: Fanime 2009, AX 2009 Awards: Best of Division Advanced Craftsmanship Group Construction ...
Character: Blind Mag Version: Chase the Morning Series: Repo! The Genetic Opera When Completed: July 2009 Reason: Repo! is one of those movies that when you see it for the first time you just know it has become a favorite. I have been wanting to do this costume for a while, ever since I heard of Repo! Took a while to get around finishing it and I'm so excited that I did. Worn ...
Character: Pirotess Version: OVA Series: Record of Lodoss Wars When Completed: June 2007 Reason: My group of friends and cosplay buddies had done a Lodoss Wars group for Fanime 07 and they asked me if I would be their Pirotess for AX. I happily agreed since elves are bad ass, especially sexy ...
It’s been a while since I did a blog that was more then just info on website updates. I’m not sure how many of you care for blog posts, but I figure since I keep my other blog rather private some of you might enjoy reading about my adventures misadventures here.
I have actually been really busy making new products for Etsy. I’ve started a new line of products reusing old comic books and magazines. It’s a great way to recycle plus make something (I hope!) people will like and enjoy. Keep checking back here or on my Etsy for new stuff every week. I’ve started a Tumblr account to focus more on this aspect of my life. I might mention cosplay info every now and then, but I really wanted to separate work from play. I’ll be discussing new products, tutorials, videos, and some other things. :)
Now to talk about what I would venture most of you are interested in reading about. Next week some friends of mine are coming near my area and staying for the weekend. We are calling it our “Snotoshoot”

weekend. The idea was to have some fun doing cosplay shoots in the snow and just in general have some good times with each other. For this I decided to make a new outfit with left over fabric: Eclair from Kiddy Grade. I know I know, another Eclair? What can I say I’m sap for Kiddy Grade.
I’ve also been trying to work on mock ups for Fanime costumes. I can’t believe how close it is already! So hopefully progress shots soon. :)
ALSO! I added two new tutorials! Vinyl Armor and Two-Tone wig. I hope you all find them useful and helpful. If you have any questions don’t be afraid to contact me. I’ll try to answer them to the best of my ablities. :)
Thanks everyone for ready and have a great weekend/week!

91.8 The Fan has posted their interview with me on their website. So if you missed it you can listen to it below or on their website.
Also new photos of Ranka Lee and Nia Teppelin have been posted form AOD. Major thanks to Lionel, David Yu, and many other photographers that shot with me during the weekend. I appreciate all the photos guys. Big hugs and shout outs to everyone I saw there! Thanks for attending and making AOD the biggest one yet. Here’s hoping that next year is just as awesome. :)
I’ve added my new costume from this past weekend at AOD. More photos to come along with Ranka Lee ones too. Check back later this week! For now click on the image to read/see the costume. :)
I’m coming down for AOD this weekend. I will be working during the con so I won’t have too much free time, but I will be walking around all weekend! So please do come and find me and say hi. :) So far as costumes I thought it be the perfect chance to finish up Nia and wear her. List time yes?
AOD 2010 Costume List
Saturday: Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier with some fellow LOVELY MacrossF people. :DD
Sunday: Time-Skip Nia Teppelin from Gurren Lagann
I’ve heard a lot of people saying that they were considering hitting up AOD, so now of course I’m curious as to who actually decided to go. *hint hint*

New costumes from ALA will be posted soon. Keep checking back!
Top Row L->R:
Emerald from Sailor Moon R, Eclair from Kiddy Grade, Hungary from Hetalia, Sophitia from Soul Calibur II, Hikaru from Magic Knights Rayearth.
Bottom Row L->R:
Blind Mag from Repo! The Genetic Opera, Yoko from Gurren Lagann, Ranka from Macross Frontier, Wayward Victorian Girl
Conventions attended:
ALA, Cherry Blossom Parade, Sac-Anime, Fanime, AX, Sacanime (summer).
Most Difficult:
Hikaru. Fiberglassing was a LOT of work. Plus other stupid things with this costume. Just ugh… I’m glad it’s done.
Easiest Costume:
Tie between Emerald and Hungary. Thought thinkg Emerald wins because I wasn’t sick while I was trying to make it.
Most Hated:
Sophitia. Dress is awful and makes me look awful in return.
Most Loved:
This is hard. I made a few costumes I just love. I think Eclair, Hikaru, Yoko and Victorian Girl are my favorites this year.
Most Worn:
Uh, Yoko, Eclair and Hikaru.
Most expensive:
Hikaru by leaps and bounds.
Cheapest:
Emerald. Super budget cosplay.
Best cosplay memory of the year:
Meeting Emilie Autumn in my costume and having her call me the “Queen of Hearts”. Meeting someone who is an inspiration for pretty much everything in your life and then complementing you is pretty fucking amazing.
There you have it. Hopefully 2010 will bring some great things cosplay wise. This year I want to make a solid effort to make costumes I have been wanting to do for YEARS. This includes but is not limited to: Cammy, Morrigan, and Cassandra. Expect these this year FOR SURE.
