Character: Zhen Ji Version: Game Series: Dynasty Warriors 6 When Completed: May 2010 Personal Thoughts: I've always been a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series and after hearing a bunch of my friends planning DW costumes I thought it would be the perfect time to do one too. When I saw Zhen Ji's designs in 6 I knew I really wanted to make that outfit, plus she was much more fun to play with her whip then the flute! Plus her outfit had all my favorite colors in it! Little did I know the undertaking this costume was going to be. I personally think that ...
Character: Nia Teppelin Version: Anti-Spiral Messenger Series: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann When Completed: July. 2010 Personal Thoughts: The boyfriend had dropped a few... not-so-subtle hints that he wanted me to do this costume. Also when I found out that Saku was wearing Starboobs that kind of sealed the deal. I find it funny that I got around to making a second Nia before making a second Yoko. lol Overall this costume isn't too bad to wear. The shoes are killer and being in a full body suit is a little awkward. In short I like this costume! Worn to: AX 2010 Construction notes:I was one of those crazy ...
Character: Eclair Version: 3rd Incarnation Series: Kiddy Grade / Kiddy Girl-and When Completed: March. 2010 Personal Thoughts: I'm a Kiddy Grade sap, and it has become almost a tradition to make one new Eclair outfit each year. This was neither planned or intentional to have this 'tradition.' Anyways, I had all the fabric for this laying around so I only had to buy the wig and some red dye. Yea cheap! I made this for going shooting in the snow, but I think another shoot is needed that isn't snow... I've been wanting to do this version for a while. In fact almost did ...
Character: Sheryl Nome Version: Concert Outfit Series: Macross Frontier When Completed: July. 2010 Personal Thoughts: One of my friends was cosplay Ranka and somehow they didn't have a Sheryl! Blaspheme! I've always wanted to do some Sheryl outfits too so it was the perfect chance. I chose this version since no one seems to do it and I honestly don't care for main outfits. I made this one since I had 90% of the stuff on hand. I choose to use Sheryl's normal color hair instead of the blue so I could re-use the wig later on. It was fun playing another character from Macross! I ...
Character: Lina Inverse Version: TV - Next Season Series: Slayers When Completed: January 2008 Reason: Slayers is one of my favorite animes EVER. I simply love it. If you haven't watched it yet go do it. Lina is a character I identify a LOT with, plus she is bad ass. I was so so happy to finally be able to do this. I was even more lucky to have my boyfriend, Sozokureed, be my Gourry! Worn ...
Character: Adiane the Elegant Version: Anime Series: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann When Completed: July 2008 Reason: Upon watching Gurren Lagann I knew I had to cosplay someone from it. It's such an awesome anime! Adiane is one of those characters that's bad ass and doesn't really take crap from anyone. Plus her outfit is kick ass! I was also asked to be apart of American Cosplay Paradise and Bandai's promotion of Gurren Lagann at AX, hence why I made this sooner then planed. Worn ...
Character: Wayward Victorian Girl Series: None (Original Design) When Completed: Oct. 2009 Reason: Well, well... Being my first original design I made sure to use fabrics I love and to just have fun with it. I have been toying with the idea of making an Emilie Autumn style/inspired design for yeeeeeaaaars. It just took her touring in the US finally to motivate me to actually do it. EA's style is very unique, but defined by corsets, lace, stockings and stripes all mushed together in a Victorian/crazy kind of way. If you haven't listen to her music I must insist you do. I also ...
Character: Sophitia Alexandra Version: First player costume Series: Soul Calibur III When Completed: Jan. 07 Reason: I enjoyed being Cassandra a lot and when SCIII came out I liked her sister, Sophitia, a lot more in the previous installments. I can say without a doubt this is my most comfy, easiest, and most enjoyable costume wear! Worn to: Sac-Anime 07 Wondercon ...
Character: Pirotess Version: Art Book Goddess Version Series: Record of Lodoss Wars When Completed: Feb. 2008 Reason: After doing the normal version back in July, me and my friend that did Deedlit really wanted to do this version too. They are just so pretty and elegant. W Worn to: Wondercon 08 Awards Won: Honorable Mention: Most Beautiful Construction notes: It was nice ...
Hikaru Shidou Character: Hikaru Shidou Version: Final version Series: Magic Knights Rayearth When Completed: May 2009 Reason: For Fanime, our group decided to Magic Knights Rayearth as our masquerade costumes. I've always wanted to cosplay Hikaru, I just never thought it would be this verison! Worn to: Fanime 2009, AX 2009 Awards: Best of Division Advanced Craftsmanship Group Construction ...
Character: Blind Mag Version: Chase the Morning Series: Repo! The Genetic Opera When Completed: July 2009 Reason: Repo! is one of those movies that when you see it for the first time you just know it has become a favorite. I have been wanting to do this costume for a while, ever since I heard of Repo! Took a while to get around finishing it and I'm so excited that I did. Worn ...
Character: Pirotess Version: OVA Series: Record of Lodoss Wars When Completed: June 2007 Reason: My group of friends and cosplay buddies had done a Lodoss Wars group for Fanime 07 and they asked me if I would be their Pirotess for AX. I happily agreed since elves are bad ass, especially sexy ...

AX happened a little over a week ago, and man did I have a blast! Lots of good times with new and old friends a like. Plus I got to wear two new costumes for the event. They are now posted and can be viewed by clicking the links below
I’m sure you have also noticed that the site has gone through some changes. There are a few things I’m still working on, but the bulk of the work (and I hope!) kinks are worked out. If you come across something that that doesn’t work let me know so I can fix it. I hope the site is easier to navigate then before and a little easier on the eyes. The previous layout was just too loud, plus purple is my favorite color!
Also thank to everyone that voted for me in the Ranka ACP contest. I didn’t win but I appreciate your support either way, Thank you!
Finally note! Snow/Serah necklaces and some new cosplay accessory items have been added to my shop! Please visit and pass the word on to your friends. Thanks!
Too all those that I saw at AX: It was great seeing and meeting a lot of you! I hope to see you all again. Thank you for making AX amazing this year!
XOXO

Just added all new costumes from Fanime. Feel free to take a look and read about the construction process, just click on the image!
Fanime has come and gone for 2010. It’s my favorite con all year and I’m reminded each year why that statement is true. This year was no exception! Got to debut three new costumes and re-wore Asmodeus. I’m still waiting on a bunch of photos but I have a good amount thus far. I honestly can’t wait to see some of the photos because the previews I saw were just breath taking.
I know some of you might know, but myself and Daydreamernessa competed at WCS US preliminaries. While we didn’t win this year, we did take third and we are very happy with that. I would also like to congratulate Rynn and Krystal on their win and I can’t wait to see what you guys do for WCS this July. You go girls! If you want to follow their progress check out Rynn’s site here: Rynncosplay.com
As for the rest of the year, I’ll be attending Anime Expo in July in a few weeks. I’m really looking forward to it this year! The plan thus far is re-ware a few costumes from Fanime and earlier this year and I’m working on two new ones. More details to come and maybe some progress this time? I’ll be there all four days, but like I said I’ll post more info sometime next week when plans are little more firmed up.
One last bit of info, I have some new cosplay related things for sale on my Etsy. Including FFXIII Serah and Snow necklaces. Be sure to check them out!
That’s all I have for now. Keep your eyes and ears open for new costumes added which will be added shortly. Thanks guys!
XOXO

OMG guys I have been on a major Sailor Moon kick. I think my love for that series has been rekindled and I have a strong desire to cosplay from it again. I have a few SM villains in my sights, plus new Sailor Moon costumes as well. Don’t be surprised if you see some Sailor Moon cosplay later this year! Anyways, on to the updates…
The nerds over at NerdBastards.com featured me as their sexy cosplay of the week. Read the write up over here or on the Press page.
I re-activated the subscription feature of Windofthestars.com. Use the register field to the right below navigation to sign up. It’s free and you will get special e-mail newsletters about updates to the site.
F-F-Fanime is JUST around the corner. Doing well on cosplay progress and I’m REALLY excited to premier all the new stuff I’m working on. I’ve been meaning to share progress photos but always forget to get the photos off the camera. Whoops! Maybe I’ll remember in the next weeks. I posted my Fanime schedule in the last post so if you are curious as to what and when I’m wearing check out that post.
That’s all I have for today. :) See you all at Fanime!
Finally got copies of the photos of Pirotess that were seen in Cosmode 27. I was thrilled that these were posted on Cosplay.com last week. Also wanted to give a big thank you to Kyle for taking these and for asking us to be apart of something amazing. I admit that when I picked up my first issue of Cosmode when I was teenager I dreamed of being one of the featured cosplayers in the front of the magazine. Thank you for making one of those dreams come true!
In other news, Fanime is breathing down our necks! Even though I have bunch of things to still sew, I can barely sit still. This year’s Fanime is going to rock so many socks it will be NUTS. I’ve been ask me what I have planned so I thought I would post my schedule.

This last weekend a few friends came to close to my area for a week of fun in the snow. We took the oppertunity to take some fun photos in the snow too. While most of my photos from this were of me being a gobber (on purpose of course), I did a get a few nice ones. Until Fanime (or if I bribe my cousin to take some photos for me) this will be it for now. I had a blast though I think I got a little sunburnt even though I had sunscreen on. :O
My Birthday is this weekend. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’m starting to feel old! Maybe it’s because I’m surrounded by teens so much in this hobby and at my job. I’m really not that old, but still feel old. HOWEVER! This WHOLE WEEK there is free shipping in my store. Think of it as my birthday gift to you! How awesome is that?? Also, Wednesday is looking like the day that there will be new products added to my Etsy so keep an eye out! Lots of cool things coming up. I’m excited. Are you excited?
Lastly, I got two new photos of my Sophitia Alexandra SCII costume. :D Thanks to David Yu for the photos.
